Job Title: Lead Psychologist
Location: Oldham, Manchester
Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-time (37.5 hours per week)
About the Role

With experience from the NHS or the private sector as a Senior or Lead Psychologist, you will carry a caseload of 20 Deaf service users with complex needs. Additionally, you will be provided with autonomy to design and deliver a specialist psychological intervention programme in collaboration with an experienced multi-disciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the psychology service, working closely with the MDT.
· Provide individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, and robust risk assessments.
· Offer strong clinical leadership to the psychology department and supervise the Psychology Assistant.
· Attend and contribute to Clinical and Operational Governance Meetings.
· Support the clinical team in increasing service user engagement and developing new initiatives.
· Deliver staff training programs and assist with service development initiatives.
· Participate in the recruitment of junior psychology staff.
· Collaborate with internal and external agencies to enhance treatment pathways.
· Develop and implement policies to improve staff safety and risk management.
Qualifications & Requirements
· HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist and Charterable status with the British Psychological Society.
· Doctorate-level qualification in applied psychology (BPS-accredited or equivalent training body).
· Experience in assessing, formulating, and working therapeutically with service users.
· Ability to identify and proactively resolve challenges within the service.
· Competency in psychological assessments, formulation skills, and cognitive functioning tools.
· Experience using a range of therapeutic interventions for clinical and forensic issues.
· Knowledge and understanding of working with trauma.
· Ability to supervise and support junior team members.
