Role Overview:


As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional care to our service users. You will assess, plan, and implement effective therapeutic interventions, empowering individuals to achieve greater independence and quality of life. Your expertise will guide and mentor junior therapists, working collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure person-centred care.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of service users’ needs and functional abilities.

  • Develop tailored, evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.

  • Ensure high standards of care and clinical excellence across therapeutic interventions.

  • Provide supervision, mentorship, and support to junior therapists and clinical staff.

  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver holistic, person-centred care.

  • Keep accurate, up-to-date records in accordance with legal and professional standards.

  • Participate in care planning and review meetings, ensuring occupational therapy goals are integrated into individual care plans.

 

About You:


To be successful in this role, you will need to be an experienced, compassionate, and driven Occupational Therapist with:

  • A degree or diploma in Occupational Therapy.

  • HCPC registration.

  • Significant experience in occupational therapy within a healthcare or social care setting, ideally with experience in mental health, learning disabilities, or neurodiverse conditions.

  • Strong leadership and team-working skills.

  • The ability to assess, plan, and implement high-quality therapy interventions.

  • Excellent communication, organisational, and time-management skills.
